Don’t stop – give yourself the best choice

College

You can choose to start in a further education college at 16. They offer a big choice of courses and will sometimes accept you with lower grades than your school for AS/A levels.

All colleges hold regular open evenings / days for you to look around and see if you like what they offer. They also have people you can talk to about how you study for each of the different qualifications; the timetable, sort of course work, assessment and / or examinations.

They have courses that start at basic level and some go right up to higher education level. Some people work and attend college as well work with training.
